Immaculata’s 2025 Turkey Drive Appeal
As Christmas approaches and we think about how lucky we are to spend time and gifts with family and friends, we ask that you not forget about others that are not as fortunate as many of us. Our Central Okanagan Food Bank is busier than it ever has been, with a greater demand for its services from a local community that is struggling more and more each year.
It is in that spirit that we ask you to contribute to our 8th Annual Kelowna Christmas Turkey Drive December 12th (this coming Friday) from 6:30 to 10:00 am. Our goal is to reach a donation of 400 turkeys!
We ask that you drop off your CHILDREN at the school (to your right) and your TURKEYS at our donation space (to your left) Friday morning. CASH and DEBIT donations of $25 go directly to the purchase of a turkey dinner for a needy family.

You can also share the news of this campaign with friends and family!

EXTENDED UNTIL MONDAY!

Still have time to bring in your donations.

KCR is Kelowna Community Resources, a not-for-profit organization that helps local families in Kelowna. Every year Immaculata and KCR team up to sponsor a family for the Christmas season.

This year’s family has six members, with children ranging in ages up to age 11. Each grade will sponsor a family member with the staff/teachers taking the sixth. Keep an eye out for emails and for the specific shopping list for the member of the family that you should shop for. Gifts are due on Friday December 5th, and can be brought to homerooms. Money and gift cards are also welcome and can be dropped off at the homeroom or the office. E transfers can be sent to irhs.activities@cisnd.ca, please indicate “sponsor family/grade” in the memo. Thank you for your generosity as always.

We just got an insane donation of $1000! Don't worry though, not all donations need be that big. We just need lots of little ones too! Our school community has been amazing so far, but to hit the halfway mark toward our fundraising goal for Paul Freire Goes Bare — we need your help to keep the momentum going! Share this campaign with your neighbours, friends, family, coaches, or anyone who would like to see a perfectly good head of hair disappear for a good cause.

Coach Freire has spent countless years supporting our Mustangs, cheering them on, coaching them hard, and showing up for our students in every way. Now it’s our turn to show up for him — and for the wonderful causes this fundraiser supports: the Terry Fox Foundation, the Nat Mlikotic Bursary, Mustang Athletics, and our Immaculata Student Council.
When we reach our goal, Coach Freire will shave it all off — every last hair.

Every contribution brings us closer to making a real difference for our students and our community — and to giving Coach Freire the smoothest scalp in the Okanagan.

If you haven’t donated yet, please consider giving today. And if you have, spreading the word to family and friends helps more than you know. Share the following link:

Let’s rally together, Mustangs, and make this happen!

Today, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and love of those who served our country — and the families who stood beside them.

Lest we forget.
